Listening Books

Free memberships available for audiobook library service

Whether it’s discovering a new classic for the first time, or relaxing with an old favourite, reading can have a huge impact on our lives and our wellbeing. But what happens if you struggle to read text due to pain, illness or fatigue? That’s where Listening Books comes in! Listening Books is a national charity that provides a postal and online audiobook library service to children and adults who struggle to read in the usual way due to an illness, disability, mental health or learning difficulty. The charity is currently offering a number of funded FREE memberships to people in Norfolk who would find the membership fees a barrier to joining the service (usually £20 - £45 per year). If you, or someone you know, would benefit from a free membership, please get in touch!

Titles are available to download and stream through the website or app, or on MP3 CD sent through the post (no postage costs or late fees). The library has a huge range of brilliant audiobooks including educational titles, new releases and bestselling authors such as Agatha Christie, JK Rowling, George RR Martin, MC Beaton, John le Carré, Philippa Gregory and Ben Aaronovitch.
